1. The news reports say that POT is going to be sold to Taishin financial holdings. Is this true?

Yes. Prudential Financial, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement with Taishin Financial Holding Co., Ltd., to sell Prudential Life Insurance Company of Taiwan. The completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.


2. Is there any action I need to take as a policyholder?

No. Your valuable insurance protection remains the same.


3. Will there be any change to my insurance coverage and benefit?

No. POT prioritizes our customer’s benefit. Insurance products sold legally in Taiwan by POT are protected by Taiwan law, so your rights as policyholder will not be affected. The coverage of the policy you purchased from POT will remain unchanged.


4. Will there be any change to my policy services?

The terms and conditions of your policy remain in force, including provisions and arrangements for policy loans and other policy change services. Should you have any inquiries or needs regarding policies, please contact your Life Planner and/or your bank financial advisors. You can also call our customer toll-free number at 0800-015000. 5. Is the sale due to POT’s financial situation?

This sale of POT is nothing to do with POT’s financial strength. It is consistent with Prudential Financial’s strategic focus internationally on Japan and higher-growth emerging markets around the world. POT’s robust financial strength remains unchanged and our RBC and net-worth ratio both far exceeds the regulatory requirement. The sale is not related to our business operation, either, and it won’t affect our commitment to our policyholders, business partners, and employees.
